Honors Scholarships
For incoming SDSU Honors Freshmen
Students who are admitted into SDSU and into the Weber Honors College can apply for
Honors Scholarships via the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships (OFAS) once they have submitted their intent to enroll to SDSU and the Weber Honors College, and activated their SDSU ID. Students who do not submit
their intent to enroll to both SDSU and to the Weber Honors College (these are two
separate processes) will not be able to apply for honors scholarships. The deadline
to submit both the SDSU and the Weber Honors College intents is May 1, 2021. The scholarship
application will open March 2021.
We encourage all students to complete and submit the Free Application for Federal
Student Aid (FAFSA) as well. The FAFSA application for 2021-2022 funding is available
starting October 1, 2020.
Please note, there are certain honors scholarships that have gpa requirements. Courses
taken at a community college are factored into the student's overall gpa when we consider
students for scholarships. If a student enrolls in a community college course in the
fall, spring, or summer semester before starting SDSU, the grades received during
the fall, spring, or summer term will also effect whether or not the student is eligible
for the SDSU scholarship.
