Honors Scholarships

For incoming SDSU Honors First-Year Students

Students who are admitted into SDSU and into the Weber Honors College can apply for Honors Scholarships via the SDSU Scholarship Office once they have submitted their intent to enroll to SDSU and activated their SDSU ID. Students who do not submit their intent to enroll to SDSU will not be able to apply for honors scholarships. The deadline to submit the SDSU intent to enroll is May 1, 2025. The scholarship application will open in March 2025.

We encourage all students to complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as well. The FAFSA application for 2025-2026 funding is available starting December 2024.

Please note, there are certain honors scholarships that have gpa requirements. Courses taken at a community college are factored into the student's overall gpa when we consider students for scholarships. If a student enrolls in a community college course in the fall, spring, or summer semester before starting SDSU, the grades received during the fall, spring, or summer term will also effect whether or not the student is eligible for the SDSU scholarship.
