Honors Scholarships

For incoming SDSU Honors Freshmen

Each year, the Weber Honors College awards approximately 10 scholarships to incoming honors freshmen. To apply for these scholarships you must first complete your application to the Weber Honors College by 11:59pm on the January 15 deadline.  Students who are admitted to the Weber Honors College will receive an email with a link to the Weber Honors College Scholarship Application.

You must complete the Weber Honors College Scholarship Application by 11:59pm on March 11, 2019 in order to be considered for these scholarships. Late applications will not be accepted.  If you are selected for an Honors scholarship interview, you will be notified during the week of March 18, 2019.  All applicants will receive final notification by mid April 2019.

Weber Honors College scholarships are highly competitive given the outstanding caliber of our applicants. In addition, some Weber Honors College scholarships have particular restrictions (e.g., major, geographic location, or financial need). In order to be considered for the greatest number of Weber Honors College scholarships available, we encourage all students to complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by March 2, 2019.  The FAFSA application for 2019-2020 funding is available starting October 1, 2018.

SDSU Scholarships-Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships

In addition to the scholarships offered through the Weber Honors College, there are additional scholarships offered to all incoming students through the university’s Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships.

A limited number of scholarships based on academic excellence, strong leadership, service to the community, and special talents or interests, as well as out of state scholarships are listed on the incoming freshmen scholarship site.
