The majority of the Weber Honors College scholarships have particular restrictions
(e.g., major, San Diego County/area high schools, or financial need). In order to be considered for the greatest number of Weber Honors College scholarships
available, we encourage all students to complete and submit the Free Application for
Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by March 2020. The FAFSA application for 2020-2021 funding
is available starting October 1, 2019.
Please note, there are certain honors scholarships that have gpa requirements. Courses taken at a community college are factored into the student's overall gpa when we consider students for scholarships. If a student enrolls in a community college course in the fall, spring, or summer semester before starting SDSU, the grades received during the fall, spring, or summer term will also effect whether or not the student is eligible for the scholarship in the fall.
SDSU Scholarships-Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships
In addition to the scholarships offered through the Weber Honors College, there are additional scholarships offered to all incoming students through the university’s Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships (OFAS).
A limited number of scholarships based on academic excellence, strong leadership, service to the community, and special talents or interests, as well as out of state scholarships are listed on the incoming freshmen scholarship site.
SDSU Scholarship Application Deadlines
OFAS will launch a new scholarship system in March 2020 with one deadline (TBD) for SDSU-administered scholarships for new and continuing students. Qualified students will be matched to multiple scholarships through a single application.
